A mother
Always on the outlook
For family’s safety
In mind
As she gazes across
No matter what
She hopes
Yet; she is
     The Worried Mother asking
    What is ahead?
Her baby
On the back
Looking in wonderment
But feeling safe and confident
Assuring himself
“I am safe as long as
I am on Mother’s back”
That Mother
In her lifetime
Has gone
Through a lot
With war and drought
She is full of care
Who stands there is…
